


Fashion Illustration to Mini Creation - Short Course
The course will begin with an introduction to fashion illustration techniques, where students will learn about the fundamental elements of drawing fashion figures and developing a personal illustration style. Emphasis will be placed on understanding FASHION ILLUSTRATIONS AND HOW TO DRAW INSPIRATION to bring designs to life on paper.
As students progress, they will explore the world of miniature fashion design. This section will cover the essential skills required to create scaled-down versions of clothing. Students will engage in hands-on projects, crafting their own miniature garments while experimenting with different materials and textures, allowing them to fully realiSe their illustrated designs in three-dimensional form.
The final project will involve creating a miniature GALA LOOK based on students’ original illustrations.
Equipment Requirements:
Miniature fashion form (can be purchased from the Academy or sourced yourself) Note* You can start the course without the fashion form. You will need the fashion form at Part 2.
Fashion Kit (can be purchased from the Academy or sourced yourself)
Fabric (purchased from your local fabric store or recycled from your closet)
